Project Completion: Critical Shutdown Pipework Replacement – South Coast
Jones Site Services & Installations were recently asked to support one of our valued clients with a critical shutdown project at a site on the South Coast.
The scope of works involved the removal of an existing section of pipework and the installation of a newly fabricated replacement section, along with additional pipework to suit the upgraded system requirements. This project presented a particular challenge due to the very short shutdown windows available. Any delays would have resulted in significant knock-on effects for the wider operation, making careful planning and efficient execution absolutely essential.
As with all JSS&I projects, our team arrived on site fully prepared, completing all site inductions and ensuring that all relevant permits, RAMS, and safety documentation were in place prior to works commencing. Given the nature of the system, all tools, equipment, and components were chlorinated in advance to eliminate any risk of contamination.
Working efficiently and methodically, the team successfully removed the existing pipework and installed the new fabricated section within the allocated shutdown period. All bolts were torqued to specification and independently checked, with the pipework fully tested before flows were safely reinstated. Once commissioning checks were complete, all joints were wrapped, the area was made good, and the installation was formally handed back to our client.
This project once again demonstrates why Jones Site Services & Installations Ltd is the company to call when quality, safety, and reliability matter most — all delivered under demanding conditions and tight time constraints.
A great effort from the entire team and another successful shutdown completed safely and on schedule.
