Project Spotlight: Cover Replacement – Paisley, Scotland

This week, our team at Jones Site Services & Installations completed a road cover replacement in
Paisley, Scotland for our client EJ, working on behalf of George Leslie.
As our first job for George Leslie, we were determined to put our best foot forward.

Mobilisation & Site Preparation

On Monday morning, the team mobilised from our workshops in Nuneaton to Paisley. Upon arrival, we
ensured all relevant paperwork was completed and in order before works began. The work area was
carefully marked out and prepared for removal of the old, damaged cover.

Removal & Installation

After safely removing the existing cover, we prepared the road for the new installation, including
precise cut-outs and removal of concrete and tarmac down to the correct level for a reliable fit.
The new cover was then offered up and bolted into position with close attention to:

• Perfect alignment flush with road level.
• Reducing the risk of excess road noise.
• Preventing further vehicle damage caused by uneven installations.

The finished cover provides full access to the infrastructure below. Both the cover and beams are
completely removable, ensuring the chamber remains fully accessible for future works.

Efficient Delivery, Minimal Disruption

As shown in our project photos, the quality of workmanship was maintained throughout and delivered
in a short timeframe to minimise disruption to local traffic.
