First River Monitoring Stations Installed for CEMA

First River Monitoring Stations Installed for CEMA

Following on from our earlier project update — “River Monitoring Contract – Protecting Our Waterways” — the team at Jones Site Services & Installations are pleased to report that the first river monitoring stations for CEMA have now been successfully installed.

These initial installations mark the start of a wider rollout of monitoring equipment that will be deployed across multiple river locations. The monitoring stations are designed to continuously collect environmental data.

River monitoring technology plays a vital role in protecting waterways by providing real-time and long-term data on water quality and environmental conditions.

Installation Works

Our team carried out the full installation process on site, which included:

  • Installing GRP kiosks and platforms
  • Installing new pipework into the river to allow for sample collections
  • Ensuring all installations were safely integrated with surrounding riverbank structures

All installations are designed so they can be removed without affecting the riverbank environment. Innovative Spirafix anchors were used to secure the kiosks in place, providing a strong and reliable fixing while still allowing the installations to be removed easily without causing damage to the surrounding area.

These first installations represent an important milestone for the CEMA river monitoring programme. As the project continues, additional monitoring stations will be installed across further sites.

We look forward to continuing our work on this important project and will share further updates as more monitoring stations are installed.
